OLD GIRLS' ASSOCIATION.
ANNUAL MEETING;. The. annual meeting of tlio Now Plymouth High .School Old Girls' Association was held last night at the Soldiers' Club. The committee's report, presented by the secretary, referred with regret to fact that there had been a slight falling off in the number of members. The Association had been identified with several functions during tiie year, notably the public farewell and' presentation to the Countess of Liverpool, and also the Hospital Saturday effort, the members collecting over £3OO for this fund. Other moneys were raised during the year by means of which a splendid collection of books and also some trophies for competition were procured and presented to the Principal of the School (Miss Barr) on the occasion of the Association's re-union dinner on Nov. 29th. last. Other matters referred to in the report were the successful season which the hockey club had last winter, and. also the reasons for not holding the annual ball which had been decided upon by the last annual meeting. It was also stated that the badges agreed upon and ordered from England, had not yet arrived. The financmf position disclosed a credit balance of 6s 2d. Officers were elected as follows:—President, Miss Douglas; Vice-Presidents, Principal and staff of Girls' High School; secretary, Miss K Andrews; committee, Mrs. Webster, Mrs. Wilkes, Miss Clarke, Miss Urea thatch, Miss Gibson, Miss Monteath, Miss E. Monteath, Miss Corkill, Miss J. Cassel, and Miss K. Campbell. Various schemes are afoot for raising money for providing increased boarding accommodation at the Girls' School.
