Wheat—There is fair trade In Australian parcels and cargoes though little is offering on spot. No imported flour has been released this week. Oats—Weak. La Plata, soot, 59s 3d. Good greasy Merino 7V4 per cent., others par to 5 per cent, higher. Fine greasy crossbred unchanged; modlura greasy easier; coarse greasy neglected. N.Z. L. AND M. REPORT. For the meek ending March Clh, we report as follows: On Monday, nt Kakaramea, there was a good yarding of all classes of stock. Prices throughout were In favour of vendors We quote: Cull ewes 10s 6d, cull lambs 10s 6d, mixed sex 2-tooths 27s 6d, forward cows £ll ss, store cows £5 5s to £lO 10s, dairy heifers and cows £lO 10s to £23 15s weaner heifers £1 5s to £2 7s 6d, 18-monUi heifers r.w.T). £5 9s to £8 2s 6d, bulls £4 to £l2. At Eltham, on Wednesday, there was a full yarding of sheep, but the advertised number of cattle did not come forward. Prices were on a par with previous sales: 4-tooth ewes 22s Od, fat sheep £1 lis, lambs (good) 19s Id, cull lambs Os Od to 9s. forward cows £lO 10s to £ll 10s, stores £8 ]7s, bulls £0 15s to £9 10s, empty heifers £4 6s, weaner heifers £2 8s to £2 15s, weaner steers £2 10s.

On Thursday, at Hawera, we had a good yarding of botli sheep and cattle. We held our Hawera autumn horse fair on Saturday. We had good enquiry for all sound working horses. We quote: Hacks and light harness horses £5 5s to £2O. light draughts £2l 10s to £35; on account of. Mr F J Browne, eight unbroken coach horses £7 to £ls ss.

The N.Z. L. and M. Agency Co. Ltd. hare received the following cablegram from their LotuJon house under date March. 3, 1920 : Tallow: We quote present spot values for the following descriptions of tallow: Fine mutton £5 9s per ewt, good beef £5 8s per cwt mixed £4 18s 6d per cwt. Market dull; nothing doing; prices unchanged.

PUKENGAHU ESTATE. ' " PRIVATE SALES. At the auction sale of tho Pukongalm Estate of 980 acres, owned by Messrs. Brown Bns, which was conducted by Mr. Newton King and the N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., at Stratford on Saturday, only three out of the eleven sections wore actually sold by auction. It Is now reported that the following additional sections have been sold by private treaty:— Lot 1.—58 acres (account Nell Brown), to J. O'Neill (Pukengahu), £34 10s per acre. Lot 9—107 acres (on account G. Brown) to W. A. Wilson (Pukengahu), at £SO per acre. Lot 10.-108% acres, to C. E. MeGuinness (Mangatokl), at £54 per acre.
