WEDNESDAY'S SPORTS MEETING. (From A Correspondent). There is every indication that Hie sports that are to be held in the Domain on Wednesday will be a successful fathering. A good committee has the different sections of the programme in hand, the following being in* charge of the various events:—Messrs. R. Parker and R. Julian (running); W. R. Glentworth (chopping); Messrs L. Donald, J. Alyward, and C. Corbett (gates); Messrs C. Muir and G.. Wells (swimming); S. Goodin and Julian (chain-stepping); Mr. J. Myers (sheep-guessing). The secretaries are Messrs. W. Caldwell and C. W. Revell. The following judges have been appointed: Messrs. Julian, Glentworth, and Muir; handieapper and starter, Mr. P. Brophy. ■ The programme, which commences at 11.30. will include 100 yds races for girls and boys under 14 years, 100 yds and 200 yds open handicap, three-legged race, high jump, 50yds swim for boys and B0 yards for girls under 14 years, 50 yards open handicap. long dive, a flat race for ladies over 18 yeare and competitions of all sorts, to make up a really attractive programme, of sports. Post entries will be received for all events and nominal entry fees have Deenfixed. At night there will be a concert and dance, the tickets b;ing 2s for the concert and Is for the dance, ladies free. The whole of the proceeds are in aid of the hall funds.
