CONGRATULATIONS FOR MR. PARR. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Chrigtehureh, Last Night. At to-day's meeting of the Canterbury Education Board, the chairman, Mr. Andrews, referred to the racent change of portfolios in the Cabinet. He paid°a tribute to the work done by Sir Francis Bell while Minister of Education. He was confident that the Hon. C. J. Parr would make an equally successful Minister, as he had already had actual administrative experience in educational matters.

Mr. Andrews stated he had, on behalf of the Board, sent a telegram to Mr. Parr, congratulating him on his appointment, other members also spoke appreciatively of the appointment of Mr. Parr, and the chairman's action in congratulating him on behalf of the Board was unanimously endorsed.
