LIBRARY MART DAY.
TO-DAY'S APPEAL. To-day the effort on behalf of fund 9 for the New Plymouth library and museum will culminate in a street mart. The appeal to-day will be directed from Hart's shop, near the Grand Central corner, which was until recently occupied by fruiterers. A generous response has been made to the appeal for assistance, but there k still time for contributions to be received, if they are sent in to the several stalls early this morning. The committee in charge of to-day's mart has worked hard for success, and it remains now for the public to open their purse strings for the improvement and extension of an institution which is the property of every citizen. The following donations arc' acknowledged: £ c. d. Previously acknowledged 25 o 6 Smith and Thompson 1 1 o Govett, Quilliam, and Hutchen ] 1 o Eherlet and Morgan 1 1 o Misses M. and K.
