MANAGER HELD RESPONSIBLE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Blenheim, Last Night The warden inquiry into the fatality in the Dominion Consolidated mine at Wakamarina on December 14th, in which L. J. Humphries was killed' resulted in the mine manager, .Times Carroll, being adjudged guilty of negligence which was the cause of the accident. His certificate was suspended for three months and he was required to pay the costs and witnesses' expenses. Subsequently Carroll was charged with failing to secure the mine to make, it safe for persons working in it. He was fined £5 with costs.
