Received Fell. 27, 1-2 45 a.m. New York, Feb. 2fiThe Washington correspondent of the New York Times states that according to a telegram received by the Lithuanian representative here from Kowno the Inter-Allied Commission suggested the formation of a military agreement between Lithuania and Poland against the Bolsheviks. Lithuania, before agreeing to the proposal, requested that the League of Nations he asked to guarantee the execution of such an agreement, and that Poland should recognise the independence of, Lithuania.—Aus.-N.Z. enable Assn.
