OPENED AT AUCKLAND. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. Tho annual conference of the Methodist Church of New Zealand opened tonight. The Rev. E. Drake, of Wellington, the new president, referred to the unrest throughout the world. Many remedies were being tried, and he * suggested Christianity might also be given a trial. Mr. E. il. Penny, of Blenheim, was appointed vice-president for HI2O, and the Rev. A. Ashcrnft, of Palmerston North, secretary. The Hev. *,V. firigg. of Christeliiireh. was elected president for 1021, and the Rev- A. Ashcroft, secretary for 1921.
