THE BATTLE OF JUTLAND.
REVIVAL OF THE CONTROVERSY. OFFICIAL STORY TO BE PUBLISHED By Telegraph.—Press Assn—Copyright. Received Feb. 22, 5.5 p.m. London, Feb. IS. There has been recently a revival of the Jutland battle controversy, owing to Commander Bellairs' book on the battle passing strictures upon Lord Jellicoe's tactics, which, the book declares, lost a chance of annihilating the enemy. The author considers an official account should be published in order to sho'.v whether Lord Jellicoe lost the chance through ignoring Lord Beatty's signal urging Lord Jellicoe to follow him and close with tiie enemy. Mr. Walter Long (First Lord of the Admiralty) staled in the House of Commons to-day that an official account would be published in about a month, with Admiral von Scheer's account added. —Aus.-N.Z.
