AIR FLEET FOR AUSTRALIA.
DIRIGIBLES AND AEROPLANES. A -MAGNIFICENT OFFER. By Telegraph—Press Assn—Copyright. Received Feb. 22, 11.5 p.m. London, Feb. in. The Air Ministry, on behalf of the. Imperial Government, has offered Australia sis dirigible airships with sheds, complete, hydrogen plant, and other equipment. The sheds include an enormous steel hangar, 250 feet square and seventy high, which weighs three thousand tons. The airships have seen war service in the North Sea patrol and were engaged bunting submarines. It is understood that if the offer is accepted they will not be flown to Australia, as they are already deflated preparatory to shipment. The Ministry also offered to replace out-of-date aeroplane.', jriven during the war to the Australian Flying Corps by private firms and others by twenty-five Bristol fighters. This offer is quite apart from the hundred already given. Six months' mobilisation equipment will also lie <»iven with them. The latter is valued at .-€600,000.
