ATTEMPTED MURDER.
A YOUTH CHARGED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Feb. 12. Aubrey Ibell, aged 17, was committed for trial on a charge of attempting to murder Wm. Murphy and his son John Murphy at Island Bay oil' January 22. Two charges of theft were also preferred against IbellMurphy's evidence showed that he gave Ibell a home while the latter was looking for employment. On returning home on January 2'2 witness found some of his belongings in Ibell's portmanteau- Ifcell admitted stealing these and was taken to the police station. Later, when Murphy and his son went to get tea, they found poison had been taken from a box where it was kept under lock and key.
