MATCH AT DUNEDIN. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dunedin, Last Night. A boxing competition between Tommy t ren,. champion of Australia, and Dave Meekins, champion of the Orient, took place to-night. The competition was fifteen three minute rounds for a purse of £4OO, £230 to the winner and £l7O to the loser. I lie contest proved rather disappointing from the spectators.' point of view. Tn the third round Meekin went down ior nine seconds to a couple of short arm jolts to the jaw, and he was obviously dazed, and went down again for e:ght and seven seconds in the ninth roimd. He was down again for eight then seven seconds, [jnd the referee stopped the fight and gave the verdict to Uren.
