FREIGHT RATES. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, Jan. 24. The Shipping Controller has framed new freight rates from January 1 for cargo vessels directed to load Homeward Government cargoes. Owing to the increased coat of bunker coal, post delays and the increased cost of loading and discharging the rates in Britain from Cuba will be 85s, from Australia 160s, from the River Plate 107s per ton. The present Government rate for sugar from Cuba is 50s, grain from the Plate 62s sd, grain from Australia 105s.
