THE MINERS' DISPUTE.
THE ATTITUDE OF HUNTLY. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Mr. Arbuckle, in reply, to the mineowners' suggestion that . the Miners' Federation should act on the Huntly resolution, says the dispute is in the hands of the Alliance of Labor, to which body all communications must go. The secretary of the Alliance was not prepared to make a statement. [ [A report received from Huntly about a fortnight ago stated that the Huntly Miners' Union was reported to have carried a resolution calling upon the Miners* Federation to withdraw from the Alliance of Labor, so that each union could then make individual agreements with its respective owners." The resolution suggested that the Federation should have one representative at each conference with the owners.] GREYMOUTH STRffiE OVER. Greymouth, Last Night, Work was resumed to-day at No. 3 State Mine. The trouble was between the miners and the truckers. No representations were made to the manager.
