WANGANUI CUSTOMS REVENUE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wanganui, Jan. 7. The Customs revenue collected at Wanganui last vear amounted to £82,<179 iis Gd, or £ 1*4,55S Ss 9d more than the revenue for 1918. A LABOR CAUCUS. Christchurch, Jan. 7. A meeting of all the Labor members will be held at Wellington on January 15. ALLEGED BREACHES OF AWARDS. Christchurch, Jan. 7. The. Inspector of Factories has laid information against several unions lor breaches of awards. It is stated that union members refused to work overtime unless the ivar bonus was computed on overtime pay. This is claimed to be a contravention of the Act. TRAMAVAYMEN'S DEMANDS. Wellington, Jan. 7. At a conference with the officials of the Tramway Federation yesterday the Mavor of Wellington stated that he did not see that any good would follow another Dominion Conference. At the last conference the controlling authorities held that a national agreement was impracticable owing to the widely different conditions in each centre. The Wellington City Council was quite prepared at once to open up negotiations for a new agreement. The rates paid to tramwaymon in Wellington were increased by Id per hour from January 1 in accordance with the recent announcement by the Arbitration Court. INFLUENZA CASES. ' AVcllington, Jan. 7. Three members of the crew of the Pateena developed influenza on the way across from Nelson and I'icton, and on the arrival of the vessel this morning they were removed to the hospital. Their names are Russell, Hancock, and Kairncross. The hospital authorities state that their condition is not serious. The Pateena is being thoroughly fumigated and will not be able to leave for Pieton and Nelson to-day or Friday. The Moernki is being sent to Pieton only to-day and an endeavor will be made to send the Mapmirika to Pieton and Nelson on Friday. The watersiders have refused to work the Pateena. INFLUENZA AT NELSON. Nelson, Last Night. At a meeting of the Hospital Board fo-day Dr. Parr (temporary resident surgeon) reported that one typical ease of pneumonic influenza was admitted to the hospital in a critical state on December 2(1. The patient died fifteen hours after admission. The health inspector, in his report, for the month, stated that Ave oases of pneumonic influenza had been notified in the city, three of which were mild and two severe. There was also one ea«e at Pangatoaroa.
