CHARGE OP MURDER. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Ashburton, Dee. 31. Catherine Small, charged with the murder of her infant- child on December 4, has been committed for trial.
BURGLARY AT CHRISTCHURCH. Christchurch, Last Night. Albert Cutts, trainer for Sir GeoTge Clifford, who has been absent for ten days in the North Island with several of Sir George Clifford's racehorses, arrived htjme yesterday, to find that, during his absence, his residence at Riccarton had been ransacked by burglars, and jewellery, clothing, linen, and various articles of attire, and some household effects, had been stolen, the value roughly being about £2OO. The burglary took place oil Tuesday night. That is known because a friend had gone 'through the house daily, and the last visit was made on Tuesday afternoon, and disclosed that everything was in order.
