WRECKED ON THE GOODWINS.
SURVIVOR'S TERRIBLE TRIALS. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received January 1, 7.5 p.m. London, Dec. 31. The rescue of survivors from a wreck on the Goodwin Sands apparently solves the Christmas night mystery. One survivor, an engineer from the steamer Great Clive, states that the ship stranded on the sands in terrible weather. He entered a small boat with the captain, but remembers little owing to his sufferings, and he does not know the fate of the captain and the remainder of the crew of thirty-two.—Aus.-N.Z. Cabb Assn.
