MAIL NOTICES.

NEW PLYMOUTH. a Postal branch Thursday Dec. 25, and Thursday January 1 {Christmas aftd New Year's Days), will be observed as close holidays. On Friday, December 26 (Boxing Day), the post nffiee will be opon in all branches, except Money Order and Saving Bank, from 9 a.m. to 10 am. The telegraph office will be open on Thursday, Dec. 25 (Christmas Day), from 10 a.m. to 10 30 a.m., and from 5 to 5 30 pm. On Friday, Dec. 20 (Boxing Day), and Thurs* day, January- 1 (New Year's Day), the hours will bo from 9 a.m. to 12 noon, and 7 -p.m to imidnlght. The telephone exchange will remain open continuously. Sunday hours will be observed In the private box lobby on Dec. 25 and January l, usual hours on December 2G (Boxing Day). Malls usually despatched on Thursday will be closed Wednesday nights December 24 and 31, at 8 p.m, On December 20 (Boxing Day) the usual despatch of mails up to 8 a.m. will be made. The railway travelling pofct office will run as usual.

Counter deliveries of tewn letters (including registered) will bo made on Wednesdays, Dec. 24 and 31, from 8 to 9 p.m. Postmen will make one complete delivery on Dec. 26 (Boxing Day), commencing at 7.30 am. There will be no delivery on either Christmas or New Year's Day. For Auckland and North, per s.s, Rarawa, Monday and Wednesday, at f p.m. MONDAY, JANUARY 5. For United Kingdom, Europe, Canada, United States of America, Central and South America, West Indies, via Vancouver; also.
