TRADE REVIEW. NEW ZEALAND'S,POSITION. The New Zealand Trade Review savs: Stocks of frozen meat are now dowr tc a'bout four m ;;|°n carcases, which is a reduction of three million in the past five months. The new season's wool and dairy produce is now coming in freely, and, being paid for or advanced against by the Imperial Government, It Is bringing money into circulation and adding to the general supply of funds available Our exports for the twelve months ended October 31 attained the splendid total of £50,505,802 (of which £49,825,201 was New Zealand produce), as compared wih £29,035,3*4 for . the preceding year. The principal Items were wool £19,035,384, frozen mea< £8,224 527, butter £3,469,802, cheese £7,387,40!), tallow £2,557,981. pelts £1,616,394, hemp £919,730, hides. £759,857. Mortgages registered totalled £4,811,055, and discharged £2,890,837. These figures have grown considerably of late, each month this year showing increase on the preceding month both in registrations and discharges. For the twelve months to Octobor 31, the registrations were £32,730,817, and discharges £10,523,432, as compared with £17,943,021 and £10,605,051 respectively for the preceding twelve months. Well over half of these transactions took piace in the last Bvo months.
