It is announced that the "Big Five" packing interests have consented to sell ail their holdings in public stockyards, railroads, stock market, newspapers, public cold storage, and warehouses, and to forever dissociate themselves from the retail meat business and the wholesale groceries and canning business. Packers have submitted to the Government an injunction forbidding the monopolisation of food products in the United States. The concerns affected are Armour, Morris, Swift, Wilson, Curiahy, and their main subsidiary com-panies.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
