APPOINTMENT OF OFFICERS. The following officers who attended the General Headquarters School at Trentham have qualified for appointment to the New Zealand Staff Corps on twelve months' probation, as frottv October 1, 1919: Major P. H. Bell, D.5.0., Major E. Puttick, D.5.0., Major R. A. Row, D.S.O, Captain A. E. Conway, Captain H. D. M'Hugh, M.C., Lieutenants L. W. Andrews, V.C., G. A. Avey, W. G. A. Bishop, M.C., A. Bongard, M.C., W. S, Brown, M.C., M.M., W. R. Burge, M.C., G. Dittmer, M.C., W. W. Dove,~M.C., H. O. de F. Garland, M.C.. W A. Gustafson, M.C., R. S. Halliwell, M.C., F. L. Hunt, M. E. Johnson, M.C., J. B. le Mottee, D. L. Manners, M.C., S. G. M'Donald, M.C., R. D. M'Farland, M.C., W. Murphy, M.C., E. F. J. Reeves, M.C., M. A. Stedman, M.C., T. Stoekdill, J. R. Sutcliffe, J. G. C. Wales, M.C., K. G. Walker, M. R. Walker, M.C., G. T. Yerex, and 2nd Lieutenant C. R. V. Petrie.' Several candidates who were unable to attend the final examination on account of sickness will have a further opportunity of qualifying.
