The National Coal Associated Board estimates that the coal strike resulted in the loss of 112 million dollars to the operators and miners in the industry. AUSTRO-ROUMANIAN TREATY. Paris, Dee. 8. The new Roumanian Premier has announced that Roumania will sign the Austrian Treaty at Dretoria. FRENCH WAR WIDOWS. Paris, Dee. 8. It is officially announced that there are 216,000 war widows, of whom 38,064 have remarried.—United Service. AN AERIAL MAIL. Karachi, Dec. 8. An aerial postal mail to Bombay will •be inaugurated on January 1, thus affording residents of Karachi an extra, 24 hours to catch the outgoing steamer for London.
INTERNATIONAL PAYMENTS. London, Dec. 11. Lord Swaythling, after his visit to America, proposes-the suspension of international payments among the Allies for three years for reproductive goods, such as machinery and raw material. The Government would guarantee its exporters against loss in the agreement with the Governn? it of the importing country, which would guarantee that payment would be duly made.
