In the House of Commons, Sir Auckland Geddes (President of the Board of Trade) stated tiiat a number of collieries, owing to financial difficulties, were unable to continue to supply household coal at the reduced prices. Admiral Sir Percy Scott, speaking in London, supported Lord Fishers theory that big battleships are doomed. Aeroplanes have revolutionised future naval warfare, with a speed'of 150 miles hourly, compared with fifty miles an hour attained by battleships.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. GERMAN FLAG RE-APPEARS.
