THE BUTCHERS' STRIKE.
A SETTLEMENT IN VIEW. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. The decision of the Arbitration Court in the Wellington butchers' dispute has been received in Auckland, and a surprise for those interested is that, by a motion of the Court, it will apply to the four large centres. This changes the situation in regard to the butchers' strike, as the award provides substantial increases in wages. The employers consider that no further conference is necessary, but they point out that if the wages are acceptable, it is open to the men to apply for reinstatement.
