In the elections up to the present, the Socialists have gained 23 seats, 15 from the Catholics and 8 from the Liberals; but the Catholics retain their majority in Parliament.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. ITALIAN MINISTERIAL VICTORY. Rome, Nov. 17. The election returns indicate a victory for Signor Nitti, the present Premier. THE FRENCH ELECTIONS. Paris, Nov. 17. General Gtstelnau, M.M, Rriand, Viviani, Loucheur, Deschanel, K-lotz, Millerand, Leygues and Tardieu have been elected. M. Renaudel, leader of the Socialists, M.M. Colleard and Longtiet, and Generals Me.ssimy, Clementel, and Augagneur have been defeated.
