INDUSTRIAL TROUBLE.

THE AUCKLAND STRIKE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. The butchers on strike are still holding out sturdily, and the slaughtermen of the municipal abattoirs and Hellaby's slaughterhouse definitely refused work to-day. Business proceeded without incident at the retail shops, the present reduced staffs coping reasonably with all requirements. Supplies of frozen meat from the Imperial slocks were delivered to the city butchers this morning. A meeting of master butchers will be held to-morrow night to consider the Union's request for a conference.
