ST. MARY'S GUILD.

ANNUAL SALE OF WORK. The annual sale of work in connection with St. Mary's Ladies' jGuild was held in the Sunday School Hall vesterday. The stalls were arranged conveniently round the room and were tastefully set up and decorated. The ladies have been working for a long time for this effort and when the sale opened a splendid display was made of plain and fancy goods, children's and' babies' clothing, flowers, produce, kitchen goods, as well as a variety of articles on a stall over which there was the inscription: "Ye Old Firm of Universall Providers. Goode Folke, Walke Uppe." Afternoon tea was also daintily served, and a Christmas tree helped to attract the children. The following ceremnnv was performed br the Rev. .F. G. Ilarvic, who congratulated the ladies on the excellent 'how that their work made and expressed the hope that the sale woulfi be a financial success, as the proceeds were to go to the fund for the building of a Peace Memorial Sunday School and Parish hall. Following are the names of the stallholders:— (Ye Olde Firm!: Mesdamcs ffarvic, Renaud anil H. Fookes, Misses W. Webster. Brarlbury and M. Thompson. Plain and Kancv Work—-Mesdamcs George. Cameron and Mason. Kitchen—Misses OascoisTio, Wade and Wilson. Flowers—Misses Devenish, ITammerton, and Pratt. Christmas Tree —Mesdamcs Stuart Russell, and Haseler. Produce—Mesdamcs TTiteh Baily, S. Shaw, Denny Brown, J. Wilson, and Brown, and Miss Winfield. Children's and Babies' Clothing—Mesdames Ebcrlct. Rovd and Graylintr. Afternoon tea—Mesdamcs H. Russell, Robertsliaw, Milne, and Perry, and Miss •T. Arden. The takings amounted to "CM iis (Id, including donations of £2 from Mrs. C. H. Burgess and £1 from Mrs. A. K Walker.
