A MEMORIAL AT TE KUITI. (By Telegraph—Special to News.) Te Kuiti, Last Night _ There was a large gathering of Maoris and Europeans to-day at the unveiling of a memorial obelisk to fallen Maori soldiers. The memorial is in the form of an obelisk with a marble inscription of 224 Maori soldiers that died in the war. The Hon. Dr. Pomare, Mr W. T. Jennings, M.P., Major Salmon, and the DeputyMayor of Te Kuiti were the speakers.
