WAZIRISTAN CAMPAIGN,
PEACE TERMS PRESENTED. THE USE-OF AEROPLANES. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Nov. 11, 7.2,5 pm. Ailah&bad, Nov 10. General Climo presented terms to the Waziris on the 9th inst. at Dardoni. Thirteen aeroplanes circled overhead during the proceedings. The Waziris were given eight days to consider the terms, the reply to which must be presented at Datta Khed. This post is at present unoccupied by us, and it means that our forces will have to march to Datta Khed between now and the 17th inst.
This move has considerably disconcerted the Waziris, as the po. t is of strategic importance. During the last few days aeroplanes have been dropping leaflets over Tochi advising the tribes' men to remove their women and chilr dren.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
[The Waziris have been giving trouble for some weeks past, and General Climo recently led a British expedition to quell the trouble. An interesting feature of the campaign is the use of aeroplanes for the first time in frontier warfare. Waziristan is rugged, highland country between the Kurram and Gomul Passes.
