ALLEGED STABBING AFFRAY. A MAN SERIOUSLY INJURED. By Telegraph.—Preas Association. Wellington, Last Night. Shortly before eight o'clock to-night a man named Don Carlos entered the Oxford dining rooms in Dixon Street and ordered food. The proprietor, Wll« liam Russell, replied that it was too late to get' a meal, and thereupon Carlos > upset tables and smashed crockery and glass doors, then leaving. Russell followed, and seized Carlos, who, it is alleged, stabbed Russell. Rug. sell held the man until the arrival of the police, who apprehended Carlos. Russell was removed to a private hospital, where an operation was oraered.His condition is considered serious.
