PROHIBITION ORGANISER SUED. ' By Telegraph.—Press Palmerston North, Last Night. Judgment was reserved by the Magistrate in a case in which A. W. Qallich&n, vvino and spirit traveller, sued Herbert Grinstcad, a Prohibition organiser, for £so' damages for alleged libel Evidence showed that defendant said, in a letter to plaintiff's lawyers, that he did not think Gallichan was a good man to be on a school committee, ai ha had often seen him under the influence '• of liquor. Counsel said the action was taken to vindicate plaintiff's character, not for punitive damages.
