BUILDING OF SHIPS.
AN INCREASE LAST MONTE By Teletrra'ph.—Press Awn.—Copyright. Received Oct. 16, 7.10 p.m. London, Oct. 15. Lloyd's Register states there were 2,800,000 tons, of shipping under construction in the United Kingdom on September 30. This represents an increase of 293,000 tons, compared with June 30. A feature of the increase is the number of bigger ships. Returns show that the tonnage building abroad is 5,232,000, of which 2,584,000 is under Lloyd's Register.—Reuter.
