FAREWELL AT WANGANUI. By Telegraph.— Press Association. Wanganui, October 16. Lovely weather was experienced on the occasion of the visit of Lord and Lady Liverpool at the Sarjennt Gallery, inspection of the Collegiate .School Cadets a.nd the school. His Excellency went out to Mangamahu to lunch at Mr W J. Poison's. Lady Liverpool inspected the infants' school and opened the Plunket Home, the only one of the class in the North Island. It has a capacity of twelve cots for infants, a mothers' ward wso provision for older children than infants. The. home is a bequest to the borough by the late-Mr J. G. Stewart, Lady Liverpool later opened the Confent School. This afternoon there is a public reception to Lord and Lady Liverpool at the Serjeant Gallery. Wanganui, Last Night. In the evening a musical entertainment was given when Lord Liverpool made a farewell address and presented certificates to Boy Scouts. A deputation of local Maoris waited on Their Excellencies and wished them God Speed and a. safe journey across the "sea of Kiwa."
