A farmer named Long and his wife, who were driving in the vicinity of the river, were found shot deart and inquiries disclosed that Captain Drew, of, the steamer Tintenbar, was using his rifle shooting shags. It is assumed a bullet, after travelling a thousand yards, pierced Long's neck and was deflected through ms wife's heart. Drew has been arrested on a, charge of causing the deaths.
