THE PEOPLE'S. . LAST NIGHT OF HAYAKAWA. Sessue Hayakawa, the star featured i'i "The City of Dim Faces," at the People's Theatre, gives a wonderful display of Japanese judo, or wrestling. He very easily vanquishes two trained wrestlers and throws -them over his shoulder scarcely without effort. "The City of Dim Faces" 'is an absorbing story written by Francis Marion, the famous screen author, after she had made a special study of Chinese life in Sail Francisco, The story tells of how Jang Lung, born of a white mother and a Chinese father, is reared in ignorance of his white blood, and falls- in love with a beautiful Ameri. can girl, who, when she sees the sordid side of Chinese life, will not have anything further to do with him. This insenses the young man to actions which he afterwards regrets, and dies in remorse in front of the altar dedicated to his ancestors. The supporting programme and the musical numbers are of a very high standard. MATINEE TO-MORROW AT 2 p.m. A monster special matinee in honor of the Governor's visit will commence tomorrow at 2. p.m. The programme has been specially selected for the "kiddies" and will consist of two big two-reel comedies, gazettes, topicals, scenic and travel films. Prices are children 3d, adults the usual. EVERYBODY'S. COMPLETE CHANGE OF PROGRAMME TO-NIGHT. The change of programme arranged for Everybody's to-night and to-morrow is one calculated to please the most fastidious picture patron. As the advertisement shows, the list includes three fine topical pictures, two English and one American, and a splendid scenic picture of the wonderful Colorado canyon and surrounding scenery. Then there is a humorous two-reel Keystone comedy, "Hula-Hula Land," and the programme concludes with a fine World film feature "A Soul Without Windows," in which the popular Ethel Clayton takes the leading role. The orchestra will play a new selection of musical numbers including "Sextette" from Lucia de Lammermoor.
