WEDDING.

WALKER—MOIR. A very pretty wedding, and one of much Interest to Stratford and district, was solemnised In the Douglas Church on Thursday last, when Martha (May) fifth daughter of Mr. tind Mrs. G. ft. Moir, of Douglas, was married to Mr. Albert Walker, eldest, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Walker, of Tututawa. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. O. Blundell, of New Plymouth. The bride, entered the church on the arm of her father, whn subsequently gave her away, and was attended as bridesmaids by her sister, Miss Ulsie Moir, sind Miss Ethel Walker, sister of the bridegroom, Miss Moira Ravage being a little flower girl. The bride wore a navv blue tailor-made costume with hat to match. The bridegroom was supported by his brother. Mr. Laurie Walker as best man, and Mr. .T. Southam acted as groomsman. The guests were afterwards entertained by the bride's parents at a wedding breakfast, which was tastefully set out in the local hall, the hall being decorated by the bride's brother, whose timely arrival from the seat of war was an additional joy to the festive occasion. Mrs .t. B. Hine read a wire of apology from her husband, the Hon. .T. B. Hine, who was detained In Wellington on Parliamentary duties. fore the ceremony the organist, Miss Ivy Keedham, played "Tho Voice That Breathed O'er Eden," and at the conclusion Mendelgchn's "Wedding March." The. presents received were both numerous and costly. The young couple left by motor for their home amidst a shower of confetti, old shoes, and tin cans. In the evening, a dance was held by the young people in the Tututawa Hall at the bridegroom's Invitation. The guests spent a very enjoyable evening in dancing and singing, songs being contributed by Miss Sanderson, Mr. Reader, Mr. Noble, and Mr. Webb. The hall was beautifully decorated by Mr. L. Walker; the music was supplied by Mr. C. Curren, the duties of M.C. being capably undertaken by Mr. L, Walk?
