ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
BODY FOUND IN WHARE .By Telegraph.—Press Association. Waipawa, Last Night. The body of u man of about 60 years of age was found in a whare on a station six miles from Waipawa. Death had evidently taken place about twelve days ago, the body being in an advanced state of decomposition. It is believed, from papers in the pockets of ■deceased, that his name was David Spiers, with relatives in the Canterbury district. DEATH UNDER ANAESTHETIC. Dunedin, Yesterday. Margaret Gillick, aged 55, died in the hospital yesterday while under an anaesthetic. She had been operated on for an internal trouble, and expired immediately after the operation. An inquest was opened to-day and adjurned. A WOMAN'S SUICIDE. Auckland, Last Night. A married woman named Nan McCoy was found dead in a house at Mt. Eden to-day. The neighbors heard deceased ! scream, but took no notice, as she had done so before. Subsequently deceased was found on the floor with gas tubing in her mouth and the gas turned on. BUSH FATALITY. Whangarei, Sept. 24. While working at Dysart's Bush, Nilutawl.iti, this morning, a Maori named Kuiia Tane, a married man with a family, was accidentally killed. Details are not available.
