LORD JELLICOE.
MESSAGE TO FARMERS, By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Yesterday. A telegram from Lord Jellicoe was read at the Dominion Conference of the Farmers' Union to-day: "I deeply appreciate the message of welcome from the representatives of the Farmers' Union of New Zealand, and, on behalf of the officers and ship's company of the gift ship of the Dominion, and for myself, shall be glad if our sincere thanks may be conveyed to members of the union assembled in conference. We are proud to receive such testimony to the work of the whole British Navy and mercantile marine from such an important body, on whose effort the prosperity and well-being of the Dominion so largely depend."
