ACTION OF LAND BOAKD. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, Last Night. At a meeting of the Canterbury Land Board a soldier applied for an advance of £<l7o to purchase a suburban property, the pre-war value of which was stated to bo £425, and no improvements had been effected. The application was promptly refused, and the following motion was carried: In all cases where an exorbitant price is asked in excess of pre-war values, without improvements by additions having been made, the fioard should decline the application and recommend the applicant to erect a new dwelling, .
