COURSING.
CLOSE OF SEASON. A Mmmitteo meeting of the New Plymonth Coursing Club was held in the club's rooms, Nichol's Buildings, on Wednesday night. It was decided to finish the season next Thursday by running an open maiden stake, the winner of which to receive £7 and a gold medal presented by Mr. Maddock, and the second £3 and a trophy donated by Mr. E. Marratt. Mr. W. O'Donnell is giving a special prize of £1 Is for the dog that scores the most points in the course.
The committee have been again fortunate in securing the services of Mr Joe Jenkinson as judge as well as the other officials who acted at last meeting. The nominations and draw take place next Wednesday.
