SLIGHTLY IMPROVED SERVICES, i, By Telegraph.—Press Association. ' Wellington, Last Night. Mr. Massey stated in the House to-dty that, commencing next week, the follow'-* ing arrangements will take 'effect in respect to express trains: AucklandWellington and Wellington-Auckland.— Two trains per week each way! Auck-land-Rotorua and Rotorua-Auckland.— Two trains per week each way. Welling-ton-New Plymouth and New PlymouthWellington.—Two trains per Week each way. Palmerston North-Napier and Napier-Palmerston North.—Two tliina per week each way. ChristflhurchIlunedin and Dunedid-Christchurch, Dunedin-Invercargill and InrercargillDunedin.—Two trains pier week .each way. Lambton-Woodville and WoodTilleLambton.—Two trains per week each way.
Goods trains on branch linn.—Two trains per week. . , Each of the foregoing trafam trill be rigidly restricted to one engine load, and for that reason the permit system must be continued in the meantime. * In respect ,to goods traffic, *eU*f Is gradually being given by running weclal trains where practicable, and, in adfluios, the engine of the express services' referred to herein will be utilised for the conveyance of goods traffic.
