Perth, August 30. The Assembly passed a Bill raising the rate of interest which the Government might pay on new loans from 5 to 6 per cent.

The Prices Regulating Bill was read a second time. It provides that the Government may fix the prices of necessary commodities upon the report of a commissioner appointed to inquire into prices.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assu.
