HAWERA.

NEW MOTOR OARAGE. Messrs Mortlock and Co. have just opened, in Princes Street, (next the Erefrigcrating Company's buildings), one of the finest garages in Taranaki. The building is 14fi feet by 47 feet over all, of which the workshop takes up 50ft. by 47ft. and the storage portion 06ft. by the same width. In the workshop there are three pits, a long work bench, forge, emery wheel, drill, two lathes, air compressor for tyres, charging.plant, vulcaniser, and all other plunt necessary to ileal with all classes of work. There is also it travelling crane to hoist cars, which can be moved to any part of the shop. The light and power will be from electricity, while the extensive window space and skylights give a most effective light in which to work. On the street frontage there are convenient offices and a ladies' waiting room. The members of the firm are well known in the Hawera motor world—Mr. R. Mortlock, till recently in charge of the Farmers' Co-op. garage, and formerly with Norton and Caplen; Mr. Sturrock, who has gained Jiia experience in many big shops in England and America, such aa Armstrong's and Ponds, Ltd.; and Mr. J. Mortlock, who was also with the Farmera' Co-op. and Norton and Caplen. All are, therefore, men of wide experience.
