NORTH TARANAKI HUNT.
MEET AT HUNT MASTER'S RESIDENCE. The North Taranaki Hu«t Club held a most successful meeting yesterday at the property of tlio Huntmaster, Mr. A. H. Halcombe, Uremii. . The gathering was one of the most pleasant of the' season. The weather cleared beautifully for the afternoon. At air early hour guests began to arrive, and they were entertained to luncheon by Mr. Halcombe, after which the hounds were taken over to Mr. Shera's property, where some excellent hunting was enjoyed both by huntsmen and spectators. About 3,30, an adjournment was made to Mr. Haleombc's -house, where some jumping competitions took place, Mr. Woods' Patronalc being the winner, and Mr. Halcombe's Larakin • second. At the conclusion of the jumping the guests were entertained to afternoon tea, and the Deputy-Master (Mr. B. H. Chaney) expressed the thanks of the club, and especially of those present, fo* the generous manner in which the Huntmaster had entertained them and provided for the meet. Mr. Halcombe suitably responded.
