THE MINERS' TACTICS. (From Our Own Correspondent.) Wellington, August 13. The delegates to the miners' conference are. going to their various districts, and in the meantime there is no new development to report. The federation delegates will report to the mine unions regarding the conference, and doubtless will suggest the future course of action. The tactics of the miners in the past surest that if the unions decided to bring pressure to bear upon the mine owners in support of the rejected demands, their action will he sectional rather than national.* That is to say, •certain • demands may he made at one mine while other mines are continuing work on the old basis.
