THE PEOPLE'S, DOROTHY DALTON IN "GREEN EYES." To-day's new hill at the People's commencing at the matinee at 2 p.m., presents the dainty and versatile artiste Dorothy Dalton, in one of Thos. H. luce's dramatic triumphs, "Green Eyes." In this unusually captivating photoplay, Miss Dalton portrays the role of a noble, pure-minded and charming wife, who is the victim of her husband's jealousy, hut in the moment of blackest despair lier husband's love returned and the devil of his suspicion and mistrust was banished forever. The splendid Artcraft feature, "Stella Maris," shows at the Empire again this afternoon at, 2 p.m. anil for the last time to-night at 8. In this stirring photo-play Mary Pickford excels herself in a two-fold character study as the Daughter of Love and the Daughter of Hate. The portrayal of two characters so vastly different by Mary Pickford, each carrying a powerful appeal, will stand as a mighty and wonderful achievement in screen art. It is: a wonderful performance. Seats . for this evening's performance can be reserved at Collier's. EVERYBODY'S. MATINEE TO-DAY. BESSIE BARKTSCALE IN "THE CASt OFF." An effective cast consisting. of Bessie Barriscale as the star with Howard Hickman and Jack Livingston is seen in a convincing story in the Foursquare drama, "The Cast-off," now screening at Everybody's. The story tells of an orphan girl who receives very unpleasant treatment in the boardinghouse ivhere she is working and eventually has lo leave owing to a compromising situation in which site is found. Later when she has achieved Tame on the stage and is the rago of fashionable society the man who had been responsible for her plight nt the lmardinghouse wishes to become one of her numerous admirers, notwithstanding that he is now a married man with a young child. The actress determines to bo revenged on him but a chance meeting with the chjld arouses the mother love in her heart and causes her to forego her attempt, In doing so she finds happiness with a man whom she loves sincerely. The play has many fine dramatic scenes and some high emotional moments while the production is in keeping.
