FARMERS' CO-OP ORGANISATION SOSOCIETrS REPORT. At Okalawa on Monday, luly 28, we held our usual fortnightly sale, when there wis a small yarding of cattle, which sold at late rates. On Tuesday at Kaponga we conducted a cleaving sale on account of Mr David Black, Kaponga, when there was a large attendance of the public. Everything met with keen demand, and high prices ruled throughout. We quote: Gelding £26 10s, pedigree Shorthorn cows 17gns to 34gns, pedigree Shorthorn bulls 15gii3 to 21gns, grade dairy cows £l2 to £33, the grade herd averaging £2l 12s, dairy heifers £lO to £lB 10s. On Wednesday at Elthara we held our usual fortnightly sale, when there was a fair yarding of sheep and cattle. Prices ranged as follows: 2 and 4-tooth wethers £1 13s, ewes in lamb 18s Od, lambs 10a 3d to 21s lid, forward cows £9 17s 6d to £lO 17s 6d, store cows £7 2s to £9, boners £5 to £6 9s, weaner steers £3 23 to £3 15s. On Thursday we held our Hawera sale, when there was an average yarding of sheep and cattle. We report a good sale. Prices were: Hoggets 23s to 32s Bd, owes and lambs 32s 3d, ewes 30s 9d, fat cows £l3 ss, forward cows £lO, store cows £7 15s to £8 lis, £5 to £7 Is, weaner steers £3 10s, best heifers £4 6s to £5 9s, others £2 5s to £3 10s, dairy cows £l2 to £2O, dairy heifers £8 to £l9 ss, small late sorts £O. On Friday, at lnglewood, we held our spring horse fair, when a fair number- of horses came forward and sold at late rates. At Waverley on' Friday we held our usual fortnightly sale, and we report a good sale. Empty forward ewes 27s lOd to 29s Bd, hoggets 255, do, small 10s 3d to 14s 4<l, store pigs £ 3 ss, weaners £ 1 ss, store cows £ 7 'to £9, empty heifers £5 5s to £5 16s, mixed weaners £3, best dairy belters £l7 to £2l, others £ll to £l6 10s, dairy cows £7 to £l7.

. LONDON MARKETS. Messrs. Dalgety and Co. Ltd. have received the following cablegram from their London office :• Wool.—The wool sales dosed firm. As compared with the closing rates of lost sales, average and good to lino merinos were lower by 10 per cent, and Inferior and faulty 5 per cent to 10 per cent. Fine quality crossbreds showed a decline of 5 per cent., and medium and coarse sto 19 per cent. The oiport buying was limited as follows: For France 30,00(1, Belgium 17,000, Canada 4000, and Italy 3000 bales. Belgian and French buyers were operating freely. The next sales will open on August 11th, when the probable quantity to be offered will be 70,000 bales. On this occasion the United Stales, Japan and neutrals will also be allowed to participate. Rabbit skins—At the sales 4G75 bales wove offered and about 4000 sold. The number of buyers was much larger than usual. Fdr Australian skins good winter's advanced 20' to 30d per lb., thick pelted 15d to 20d, incoming and outgoing, winter's an average of 15d. Lower descriptions 4d to 12d. Butcher's skins generally wero higher by Sd to 15d. per lb, but were somewhat Irregular, and a large* quantity was withdrawn from sale. For New Zealand skins thin pelted good winter's were higher on the average by 40d uer lb., nrtd incoming and outgoing winter's by 15d. Lower descriptions were 5d to lOd except for inferior qualities.
