Herr Bethmann Hollwcg, interviewed in Berlin, added: Does the League of Nations which was avowedly created to make wars less possible, desire to perpetuate the feeling of a desire for revenge? The German people will do everything in their power to recover their honor, and should the Entente insist upon humiliating the German people they may in time react against those whose hatred has made them insensible to all the principles of justice. The Peace of Versailles balloanised Central Europe, and piaced Germany and Austria in a condition of industrial slavery, but Germany will rise again.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.

HUN TROOPS TO LEAVE BALTIC.
Paris, Aug. I. The Supreme Council requested the German Government to evacuate General von der Ooltz's troops from the Baltic provinces by August 20, and added that if necessary the British Government will provide transport,—Aus. N.Z. Cable Association.
