Opinions are divided as to the possibility of work being resumed.. A section will probably demand Waish's release before accepting a settlement. Melbourne, .Ttily 2ft. The seamen resolved not to accept any compromise until Walsh is released. A meeting of seamen decided not to resume work and the strike still continues. SEAMEN REFUSE TO RESUME. RELEASE OF WALSH DEMANDED. Received July 29, 9.5 p.m. : Sydney, July 29. The seamen unanimously decided not to resume work until Walsh was released. All the union's claims were conceded. Melbourne, July 29. A mass meeting of seamen ignored the Disputes Committee's delegates. They decided that Walsh's release should be a condition precedent to the settlement of the strike.
