GOVERNMENT TO EXTEND IT. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Regarding the moratorium, the At-torney-General stated to-day that it is not intended to allow the Act to expire, and, immediately after Parliament meets, the Government will propose an extension of the Act for a further period, with certain modifications to prevent the exercise by mortgagees of immediate calling in of capital invested on mortgage throughout New Zealand. The Act, uniess'i renewed by Parliament, would wholly expire on tlio 31st.
